Get to know Robin Williams!
What could be better than combining my real estate profession with my “horse habit”?...Robin Williams
As a third generation Coloradoan, I have a strong love for my state and all that it offers. In 1956 my mother and father started a dude ranch outside of the little town of Mancos located about 30 minutes from Durango. While I was growing up I was fortunate enough to spend a good part of my summers at the ranch. Trail riding and moving cattle with local ranchers in the surrounding mountains instilled a love for the area and a passion for horses.
My involvement with horses continued to grow throughout my adult life. I have had the pleasure of participating in many disciplines ranging from competitive trail riding, to saddle seat, pleasure driving and dressage.
Throughout my early years I was mostly surrounded by ranch and quarter horses. As a teenager I was introduced to the Morgan breed and have been strongly involved with them ever since.
Now, my husband Stan and I live 6 miles east of the small town of Bayfield (20 miles from Durango) on a 95 acre horse property. We own and operate Snowoods Morgan farm, a small Morgan breeding operation with approximately 10 horses, comprised of our breeding stallion, several broodmares and a variety of young stock.
Over the years, we have purchased a number of horse properties. This can be a frustrating process unless you are working with a knowledgeable broker who understands the unique requirements of horse owners. As the only horse property specialist in the Durango area it is my pleasure to combine my real estate experience with my horse knowledge. In the www.durangohorseproperties.com website I have tried to provide a variety of resources for horse people. Along with information on buying and selling horse properties in the Four Corners area there is also general information for area horse people. My goal is to make this website a resource for the entire local horse community. We will continue to make additions and updates on an ongoing basis.
Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated so feel free to contact me with them or just to “talk horses”. Of course if you are in the market to buy and/or sell horse property I would love the opportunity to work with you.
